Co-founder + Managing Partner
I am Co-founder and Director here at Byrd + Link and because of this my role is varied.
My role can go from working with our audit clients (from planning through to undertaking fieldwork testing to completion of the audit) to client facing meetings to sessions spent looking at the strategy of our own business.
Russ + I invested time at the start of our Byrd + Link journey, identifying the core values that we felt were meaningful to us that we live in our day to day lives that we could then extend into our team, clients and other key stake holders experience with us.
The values we settled on came from what we want to experience in our everyday work lives: setting out an environment that allows us to collaborate with each other (team and clients) whilst being straight-talking in a respectful manner, hopefully leading to a more enjoyable experience.
Outside of work, my favourite thing is quite simply spending time with my family and friends. We have two children who tend to keep me and my husband quite busy but, when we do get the chance, we really enjoy doing ‘stuff’ together. That could be going somewhere exciting, or to playing some sort of game (from board games to Xbox!) or watching a film.
Outside of this, time to myself can be hard to find but when I do, you’ll find me most likely watching some trashy TV or a film; that said, my aim for this year is to start learning Pilates…
