As Senior Audit Manager, I am fully involved in the audit process from planning to completion, working directly with clients so that they get the most out of an efficient audit process.
I have a particular passion and expertise for organisations within the Not-for-profit sector and reporting under the Charities Act.
‘Collaboration’, and the act of working together to achieve a shared outcome, is my favourite Byrd + Link value. Internally, we work in an environment where opinions, knowledge and experience are truly welcomed within the team to ensure personal growth and firm success.
Externally, collaboration is about building strong connections with my clients, truly getting to know them; not only to ensure an efficient audit process, but also to help clients achieve their future goals by, for example, sharing knowledge in areas such as systems and controls. Ultimately, for me, it is collaboration that provides me with the greatest job satisfaction.
Outside of work I have a 2-year-old Newfoundland called Dumbledore, a 70kg gentle giant who loves water, and he keeps me equally busy and entertained. As Dumbledore’s name suggests, I enjoy reading and can often be found in a bookshop looking to discover my next favourite book.
As the eldest of five, family is incredibly important to me, and I recently became an Auntie. Spending time with friends often involves competitive board games, good food and the occasional cocktail! And, when time allows, you will find me practicing my baking skills much to my family and friend's delight.
